It is unglazed inside and excellent for boiling tea or water. The clay makes sweet, balanced water for tea, and has a pleasant earthy texture and color. The kettle is comfortable to hold and pour. Our kettle can pour either a gentle stream of water or a more forceful stream by increasing the pouring angle.
The natural texture of the clay handle provides a comfortable steady grip. The ridge on the handle provides good control over pouring. The clay kettle is much lighter to handle than heavy tetsubin kettles.
It will “season” over time, changing in appearance as your hand touches it.
Auto-power off function when the kettle is empty.
