Product Overview

Type: Oolong
Origin: China
Description: Shi Ru Xiang, also translated as milk rock tea, fragrant stalactite, rock frankincense, or fragrant rock milk, is a kind of Wuyi oolong tea harvested from the tea plants growing in the Wuyi Mountains, Fujian Province, China. It is said that the tea got the name as it has the fragrance of minerals and rocks from the Wuyi mountain cliffs. It has dark slightly twisted tea leaves. The brewed tea has a sweet, creamy and mossy fragrance with a lively and wonderfully rocky taste.

Shi Ru Xian is a classic Wuyi black oolong. The tea has a distinctive milky note in taste. The flavor is delicate with notes of fruits, herbs and wood. The aroma is thick with hints of spices, fruits, wood and delicate touch of milk.

Brewing Guide: Rock oolongs are a special type of tea, the production process is the most complex in the world. A lot depends on the quality of tea leaves, the skill of the master and of course on our ability to properly brew and appreciate this tea.

Place one teaspoon per cup into an infuser, filter, or teapot. Switch the kettle off, before it boils, when you hear the water rumbling. Add the hot, but not boiling, water and infuse for 3 minutes. Serve immediately or remove leaves to prevent spoiling.
