Yuchi Hong Yun is a rare black tea from the shores of Sun Moon Lake in Taiwan. Dark twisted leaves of this Hong Yun TRES #21 cultivar produce a dark amber liquor. This complex tea has a thick and savoury character with tart fruity and spicy peppery notes.
Hong Yun is hybrid with Kimen tea tree and Indian kyang tea tree. It also called Tai Cha No. 21. The tea leaves shows dry and black colour. Tea liquour is bright black colour. The taste is fresh and light sweet. It is distinguished with flower and cirtic fragrance. It comes from Sun Moon Lake which is surrounded by mountains and has the best quality of water.
Brewing Guide: tea leaves: 5g, water: 80-90°C 150cc.
1st brew: 60 seconds, 2nd brew: 60 seconds, 3rd-7th brew: 60-90 seconds.
