This blend boasts a non-tannic aftertaste with a balanced floral note along with a considerably smooth mouthfeel for oolongs. This fine tea is crafted using traditional charcoal roasting techniques, which imbue it with a unique depth and complexity of flavor that lingers on the palate long after the last sip.
The process of charcoal roasting coaxes sweetness, fragrance and great complexity from the tea leaves. A craftsman will perform several rounds of this slow roasting before the tea is finished. This process becomes like a signature made on the oolong. Every craftsman has a different roasting process or a different touch, that they take pride in having developed themselves through a great deal of practice and consideration of the roasting affects the tea in the glass.
Admire the clear golden-yellow hue, smell the rich scent of the charcoal and then savor a long sip. The flavor is roasted, balanced, deep and smooth with hints of sea sedge and a feather-light, with a sweet-woodsy, but still very clean mouth feel in the beginning and a creamier, slight honey-sweet aftertaste. Astringency is not a thing here, even if you do long infusions, the tea won't get bitter.
Brewing Guide: 3g (about 1 teaspoon) of tea per 1 cup (250ml) of hot boiling water. Let it brew for 3 minutes. Strain & enjoy. Subsequent brews will require longer and longer brewing time.
