Product Overview
15 Years Aged Da Hong Pao Oolong Tea is a carefully crafted Fujian rock tea made from premium raw leaves that had already been aged for 15 years before being reprocessed in 2019. This unique foundation of well-matured material gives the tea exceptional depth and a refined, time-developed character rarely found in younger oolongs. Through traditional high-temperature roasting techniques, the tea develops a rich and pronounced roasted aroma, expressing the classic “high fire” profile prized in traditional Wuyi Yancha.
The liquor is smooth, mellow, and full-bodied, with layered notes of roasted nuts, dark wood, cacao, and a subtle mineral sweetness that lingers long after each sip. With aging, the tea’s once sharper edges have softened into a rounded and harmonious profile, allowing both strength and elegance to coexist in the cup. The result is a deeply warming and satisfying tea, ideal for those who appreciate the complexity, stability, and evolving nature of aged rock teas.
Brewing Guide: We recommend using a small teapot or gaiwan with a higher leaf-to-water ratio to fully unlock its depth. Use approximately 5–8 grams of tea for 100–120 ml of water, ideally at a temperature of 95–100°C. A quick rinse is recommended to awaken the leaves. The first few infusions can be kept short, around 5–10 seconds, gradually increasing the steeping time with each subsequent infusion. This tea is highly durable and can yield many infusions, with the aroma and flavor evolving from a bold roasted intensity to a smoother, sweeter, and more mineral-driven finish over time.
