Product Overview
GABA Taiwan Oolong Tea Cake 200g is made from Taiwanese oolong tea and processed using a GABA enrichment technique. Compared with conventional Taiwanese oolong, GABA oolong generally has a softer and more rounded character, with a gentle fruity acidity and a deeper, warmer aroma. The dry tea has a pleasant fruity and lightly roasted fragrance. After brewing, the liquor is smooth and mellow, with notes of ripe fruit, dried fruit and a subtle sweetness. The finish is clean and lingering, while the tea has relatively little of the sharp floral character sometimes found in lightly oxidized Taiwanese oolongs.
The tea is compressed into a 200g cake, which makes it convenient to store and use over time. A suitable amount can be broken from the cake for each brewing session, while the remaining tea can be kept sealed for later use. With proper storage, the aroma and taste may gradually change as the tea rests, becoming softer and more integrated.
Brewing Guide: we recommend using about 5g of tea with 100–150ml of water at around 90–95°C. A shorter infusion brings out more of the tea's sweetness and fruity character, while a longer infusion gives a fuller and deeper cup. The leaves can be infused several times, with the flavor developing naturally from one infusion to the next. It can be brewed in a gaiwan, small teapot, or other traditional tea ware.
Please store the tea in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, moisture and strong odors. Keep it well sealed after opening to preserve its aroma and flavor.
