Handmade in China, this distinctive Pancake Shape Yixing Teapot is crafted from Zhuni Zisha clay and features an exceptionally flat, wide body inspired by the shape of a traditional pancake. With a compact 120ml capacity, it is well suited to individual tea sessions and Gongfu-style brewing.
The unusually flat and wide body provides ample horizontal space for tea leaves to open during brewing. It is particularly suitable for smaller-leaf teas such as green tea, Sencha, lightly oxidized Oolong, and black tea. The compact capacity also makes it easy to control the tea-to-water ratio and brewing strength.
Zhuni Zisha offers a fine texture and good heat retention, while regular use gradually develops a warmer and more refined appearance. The distinctive flat profile gives this teapot a strong visual character while maintaining practical brewing functionality.
Because of its unusually shallow and wide shape, we recommend using relatively small tea leaves and emptying the pot completely after each infusion. Rinse away any remaining tea leaves and allow the teapot to dry thoroughly before storage.
