Product Overview

Wuliang Mountain is the national nature reserve that is located in the midwest of Yunnan Province and stretches over the two counties Nanjian with Jingdong. The large mountain is a combination of many high peaks and deep valleys inhabiting various types of wildlife. Apparently, animals like golden monkeys or Bengal tigers could be seen there. Of course, apart from that, many tea trees are growing on the slopes of this mountain covering an area of about 200 square kilometers. Grown organically at an elevation of 1800 meters, this Wu Liang Green Tea offers floral, sweet notes, earthiness, and a refreshing astringency in the finish.

Leaves were harvested in the spring season. The varietal is Da Ye or big leaf, which is strong, lightly sweet, and herbaceous. Beautiful, large curly leaves and lush, fluffy buds give a crystal liquor with a fine aroma.

The quality large-leaf Yunnan varietal yields a bright crisp cup with that touch of Yunnan strength. Mouthfeel is round and smooth. Astringency becomes apparent with a longer steep time. The finish is refreshing and lingers. A dynamic tea that can be both smooth and mellow, or strong and robust, dependent on how you like it. A great quality green tea for a great price, so we recommend this as a great daily tea.

Brewing Guide: 1 spoon of tea brewed with 300ml water at a temperature of 75° - 80 °C and leave to infuse for 1 to 3 minutes. To get the best out of this leaf, keep an eye on your brewing temperature - if you brew it with cooler water you'll notice how wildly different green tea can taste.
