Product Overview

This heirloom cultivar has been growing in the Wuyi Mountains for hundreds of years. it is a mixed cultivar between Da Hong Pao and various other local cultivars. Que She tea bushes are slow-growing and have a lower yield than others. For this reason, it is difficult to find it sold outside of China, where it is prized for its rich flavor that is similar to the original Da Hong Pao.

Picked in late spring, with only tender young leaves. Sparrow's tongue is named for its delicate and small, curly young leaves.
To maximize its high fruity fragrance, almost perfume-like, oxidization and roasting are on the lower side compared to other rock teas.

This tea is mouth-watering, rich with a creamy orchid scented fragrance, the aftertaste lingers around the cheeks & in the throat. A sweet flavor lasts for the whole life of each session. Our distinctive Que She tea is smooth and gentle with hints of lychee fruit, vanilla and cream which is really quite distinctive from any other Rock tea.

Brewing Guide: Place one teaspoon per cup into an infuser, filter or teapot. Switch the kettle off, before it boils, when you hear the water rumbling. Add the hot, but not boiling, water and infuse for 3 minutes. Serve immediately or remove leaves to prevent spoiling.
