Product Overview

Huangjingui is a premium variety of Chinese oolong tea traditionally from Anxi in Fujian province. Named after the yellow-golden color of its budding leaves and its unique flowery aroma, it is said to be reminiscent of Osmanthus. Since its introduction into the repertoire of Wuyi Yancha from its birthplace in southern Fujian, the cultivar Huangjingui has risen to become a favored rock oolong by those looking to pierce beyond the classic Da Hong Pao, Shui Xian, and Rougui offerings of the region.

Grown in Wuyishan, this iconic high mountain oolong is a perfect addition to any tea lover's collection. Baked to perfection, Huangjingui Oolong offers an infusion that harmoniously blends a fragrant floral note with lightly baked and sweet, juicy, fruity flavors.

These curly, brown strips are dark and produce a clear, golden-amber colored liquor, with mineral notes from growing in rocky terroir, a charcoal taste from being roasted 3 times, and giving them a nutty and toasty aroma offset by a fruit leather sweetness. The liquor is so gentle and smooth with a silky mouthfeel, while the floral sweetness lingers long on the palate. The tea picks up on different notes with each steep as the water reaches deeper into the leaves. The flavor is full and balanced with a lingering warmth that is comforting and soothing.

Brewing Guide: Measure 2g of tea per 200ml water. Boil water to 90â_? Steep for 4-5 minutes.
