Product Overview

Our ceremonial-grade matcha is a high-quality Japanese green tea powder, traditionally used in the Japanese tea ceremony. Carefully stone-ground from the youngest, most tender shade-grown tea leaves, it offers a vibrant emerald green color and a silky, fine texture. The aroma is fresh and slightly sweet, with a delicate vegetal note that reflects its purity.
When prepared, it produces a smooth, frothy cup with a mellow umami taste, minimal bitterness, and a lingering sweetness.
Revered for its refined character and complexity, ceremonial-grade matcha is best enjoyed on its own, whisked with hot water, allowing its rich flavor and cultural significance to shine through in every sip.

Brewing Guide: To prepare ceremonial-grade matcha, begin by sifting 1 to 2 grams (about 1/2 to 1 teaspoon) of matcha powder into a tea bowl to remove any clumps. Heat fresh, filtered water to about 70–80°C (158–176°F)—not boiling—to preserve the delicate flavor. Add approximately 60–70 ml (2–2.5 oz) of hot water to the bowl. Using a bamboo whisk (chasen), briskly whisk the matcha in a zigzag or “M” motion until a smooth, uniform foam appears on the surface. The result should be a vibrant, frothy tea with a creamy texture. For the best experience, enjoy immediately after preparation.
