Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong is an ‘unsmoked’ counterpart to Lapsang Souchong from Wuyi Shan. Growing in the original birthplace of black tea - the Wuyi mountains, the tea bushes enjoy year-round rich forests, heavy mist, and the freshest mountain water. Wuyishan area is also famous for its rock oolongs, such as Da Hong Pao, Shuixian and Tie Lou Han. Although they both grow up in Wuyishan, the locations are far apart.
A top-quality, authentic and hand-processed Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong black tea from its region of origin, Tong Mu village. Our Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong is a top quality that is hand-harvested in the spring from shrubs of cultivar type Qi Zhong to then get its character through gentle drying. Pesticide-free. The appearance is delicate, even, soft wiry leaves covered with golden tips.
Naturally sweet and flowery fruit. The texture is soft and silky, and the taste is reminiscent of plum and longan with pleasant notes. The tea finishes with deep and long-lasting honey and roasted caramel flavor.
