Product Overview
Connoisseur's pearl jasmine is a type of high-quality handmade green tea it is a masterpiece made in northern Fujian province, China. It’s made from the buds of the tea which are hand-picked and dried carefully. Tea plucked in spring in the highest quality one-bud, one-leaf standard, it then undergoes immediate processing and is stored in refrigerators until the Jasmine flowers bloom in summer.
This pearl jasmine is a 9-scented jasmine tea, which was scented nine times with the jasmine flowers. Flower scenting is a process of making jasmine tea. It is a process of mixing tea and flowers, with flowers exhaling fragrance, and tea leaves absorbing fragrance. To make jasmine tea, there are at least three and five scentings, and as many as seven and nine. The more times the flowers are scented, the higher the difficulty and cost, but the aroma will be richer and fresher, penetrating the tea. Each round of scenting will use thousands of jasmine flowers. This is a very expensive process, the amount of scenting will be a huge factor in the tea's final price. Apparently, 9 times is the feasible maximum. After all the scenting is completed, the aroma of jasmine will remain in the tea for a long time. At this time, the tea maker will separate the tea and flowers. This is the difference between premium jasmine tea and ordinary scented tea: you can only smell the fragrance of the flowers but do not see the flowers.
The production cycle of Jasmine tea is typically lengthy, taking at least a month. Through the process of repeated scenting and roasting, the nature of the tea becomes mild and nourishing, and it can be drunk in all seasons. These downy, silver-green tea pearls are hand-rolled, shoot by shoot, by skilled craftsmen who produce only 1 Kg each day. Each leaf is hand rolled into a round, tightly formed pearl shape that is grey-green in colour with a layer of white fuzz.
Blossoming on infusion, these tea pearls give a unique, exotic sweet taste infused with the lovely, delicate fragrance of jasmine flowers. It brews up an exquisite cup with an alluring aroma and delicate sweet floral taste. This tea offers an intensely jasmine aroma and clear yellowish infusion. A delicate and soothing cup with orchid and ripe pear notes with a clean floral mouthfeel.
