Chinese Ecliptae herba (Eclipta prostrata (L.) L.) commonly known as false daisy, is an ethnomedicinal herb, which is used mainly to nourish kidneys and thus strengthen bones according to traditional Chinese medicine theory. Pharmacological studies have supported the ethnomedicine use, showing that Ecliptae herba extract has an anti-osteoporotic effect in vivo and promotes osteoblast proliferation and activity in vitro.
Ecliptae herba is a Chinese herbal medicine with good hemostatic effect. It can enhance the body's blood coagulation ability and promote wound healing.
