Product Overview
Golden Noon represents a pivotal transition within the Jasmine Odyssey collection, marking the entry into the Bloom stage where jasmine expression becomes fuller and more expansive. As the fourth tea in the 12-grade hierarchy, it stands just beyond the Awakening series and serves as the first expression of this new phase. Here, the profile begins to shift from light and airy freshness toward a more rounded, expressive floral character while still maintaining clarity and balance.
The name “Golden Noon” is inspired by the warmth and radiance of midday light. At this moment, the garden is at its most vibrant, and jasmine blossoms release a more open and confident fragrance. This tea captures that sense of fullness and quiet intensity. It moves beyond the soft delicacy of early morning tones and introduces a brighter, more developed floral presence, while remaining refined and composed.
The tea is crafted from high-quality green tea leaves sourced from traditional jasmine tea regions in Fujian and Guangxi. Compared with the earlier Awakening stage, this grade uses a more structured and complete leaf base, offering greater depth and resilience. Through careful withering, fixing, and rolling, the leaves retain their integrity and vibrant character, creating a stronger foundation for a more pronounced jasmine infusion.
During the scenting process, fresh jasmine blossoms are layered with the tea leaves through an increased number of cycles. This allows the floral aroma to develop greater richness and dimension. At the same time, the process is carefully controlled to preserve balance, ensuring that the jasmine enhances rather than overwhelms the natural sweetness of the tea. After scenting, the tea is gently dried to lock in the fragrance, and the spent flowers are removed, leaving a clean and naturally integrated aroma.
The dry leaves appear fuller and more substantial, with a rich green tone that reflects their elevated grade. When infused, the tea releases a more expressive jasmine fragrance that feels warm, open, and gently enveloping. The liquor is bright and clear, with a soft golden-green hue. On the palate, the texture is smooth and rounded, offering a harmonious interplay between mellow green sweetness and blooming floral notes. The finish is longer and more satisfying, with a lingering, softly radiant fragrance.
Within the Jasmine Odyssey, Golden Noon serves as a bridge between freshness and fullness. It carries forward the clarity of the Awakening stage while introducing the deeper aromatic expression of the Bloom stage. For those seeking a more expressive jasmine tea without moving into the intensity of higher-tier selections, it offers an ideal balance of approachability and depth.
Brewing Guide:
Use approximately 3 grams of tea for 200 ml of water. The ideal brewing temperature is around 85°C (185°F) to allow the fuller aroma to develop. Steep the first infusion for 40 to 60 seconds. This tea can typically be infused three to four times, with each infusion revealing a rounder body and a more layered floral expression.
