Product Overview
This tea is a genuine Junshan Yinzhen Yellow Tea produced by the original Junshan Yinzhen Tea Company, the authentic producer of Junshan Silver Needle tea from Junshan Island in Hunan, China. “Junshan” is a registered trademark brand of the Junshan Yinzhen company, representing the traditional and officially recognized origin of this famous Chinese yellow tea.
The tea is harvested in early spring before the Qingming Festival (Pre-Qingming harvest), when the tender buds are at their most delicate stage. Only single unopened buds are selected. Each bud is plump, straight, and covered with fine silvery down, giving the dry leaves their elegant needle-like appearance.
Junshan Yinzhen is extremely labor-intensive to produce. Approximately 50,000 carefully hand-picked buds are required to produce just one kilogram of finished tea. This strict selection ensures exceptional tenderness, purity, and refinement in every batch.
When brewed, the buds display one of the most fascinating characteristics of Junshan Yinzhen: the slender needles slowly sink and rise in the water, and many stand upright in the cup. This graceful movement is highly prized by tea lovers and reflects the freshness and quality of the tea.
The liquor is bright golden yellow with a soft, mellow taste, gentle sweetness, and a smooth, lingering finish. The aroma is refined and delicate, with subtle floral and fresh bean notes typical of authentic Junshan Yinzhen.
Brewing suggestion:
Use about 3–4 g of tea with 200–250 ml of water at around 80–85°C. Steep for 2–3 minutes. The buds can be infused several times, gradually revealing their elegant aroma and sweet, mellow flavor.
