Product Overview
Premium Shuang Jing Lv Green Tea is a high-quality Chinese green tea originating from Shuangjing Village, Xiushui County, Jiangxi Province, China. This region lies within the Mufu Mountain range and has been historically recognized as the birthplace of the renowned Shuangjing Tea. The name “Shuang Jing,” meaning “Double Wells,” refers to two ancient wells known for their exceptionally pure and sweet water. The combination of pristine spring water, fertile mountain soil, and traditional craftsmanship gave rise to a tea that became highly esteemed as early as the Song Dynasty.
The reputation of Shuangjing Tea dates back over a thousand years. The famous Song Dynasty poet and calligrapher Huang Tingjian, a native of Xiushui, praised the tea of his hometown in his writings, helping elevate its cultural and historical significance. Today, Shuang Jing Lv continues this legacy, embodying both regional heritage and refined green tea craftsmanship.
The tea gardens of Xiushui are located in a subtropical monsoon climate zone, characterized by misty hills, moderate rainfall, clean air, and significant day-night temperature differences. These ecological conditions allow tea leaves to develop high levels of amino acids and aromatic compounds, contributing to a fresh, mellow, and naturally sweet flavor profile.
Premium Shuang Jing Lv is crafted from carefully selected spring tender buds and young leaves. The dry leaves are slender, tightly rolled, and evenly shaped, displaying a vibrant emerald-green color with a subtle sheen. The production follows a traditional double-roasting concept. The first high-temperature fixation locks in freshness and halts enzymatic oxidation, while a second gentle roasting enhances aroma and stabilizes the leaf structure. This dual process preserves the tea’s lively freshness while adding depth and smoothness to the taste.
When brewed, the liquor is clear and bright, ranging from pale green to light yellow-green. The aroma is clean and refreshing, with delicate vegetal notes complemented by a hint of roasted chestnut. The taste is smooth and mellow, with minimal bitterness that quickly transforms into a pleasant lingering sweetness. The finish is crisp, leaving the palate refreshed and clean.
