Product Overview
Osmanthus Oolong is a fragrant green oolong infused with osmanthus flowers. Gui Hua is the Chinese name for the fragrant osmanthus flower, which blossoms in Autumn and is used in scenting this oolong. In the final stages of processing, the leaves are baked with fresh osmanthus blossoms, “heat-infusing” the tea with the flower’s fragrant aroma. "Red" Flowering Osmanthus. Actually it is a deeper orange than the typical form.
Our red osmanthus oolong is prepared using the ancient method. With a base of creamy Alishan Jin Xuan oolong, osmanthus oolong is scented with the fragrant red osmanthus flower, giving it a floral and fruity flavor. In which the tea absorbs the flower fragrance during the baking progress, producing a scented tea that’s aromatic and flavorful with real osmanthus blooms. Light, bright, snooth, sweet flavor and a lingering fruity, floral aroma with hints of apples and apricots. It is ideal for tea lovers that prefer a fresh, green oolong quality and refined, floral balance to the brew.
Brewing Guide: Please use relatively low tempeture water when brewing this Premium Osmanthus Oolong to extract the best flavor. Using high tempeture water close to boiling may result in unwanted bitterness in the tea. Water tempeture around 140-158F (60-70C) and 3 minutes of steeping time is most ideal for brewing this tea. Do not use boiling water on this oolong tea as it can result in a bitter brew.
