Yellow Rose (Huang Mei Gui) is a hybrid of the Yellow Goddess (Huang Guan Yin) and Golden Osmanthus (Huang Jin Gui) cultivars and is a relatively new and lesser-known type of Rock Oolong tea that was developed by the Tea Research Institute of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
This is a well-balanced tea that’s sweet and floral with the mineral-like qualities that are typical of Wuyi Rock Teas, with the aroma of roses. A lighter, more delicate style of Rock Tea, it serves as a great introduction to this style of Oolong tea.
Brewing Guide: Water at about 180°-190°F or 83°-87°C should be used for steeping.
