Product Overview
Wuyi Jin Mu Dan, also known as Golden Peony, is a high-end tea from Wu Yi Shan, Fujian, China. These plants are a crossbreed between the Huang Yin Gui variety and the Tie Guan Yin. Growing up in Wuyi Mountain has its own unique rock charm. In addition, the golden peony adopts the traditional charcoal roasting process of Wuyi rock tea, which makes the golden peony also have the unique quality characteristics of rock tea.
The roasting process gives this Wuyi Oolong its characteristic smoky and mineral character and makes for a complex and delicious tea. Carefully roasted to a medium level by the farmer, the Jin Mu Dan releases a deep roasted scent, raisins, sweet floral notes and sour fruitiness. This smoky, cured character is also evident on the palate but integrated with complex dried fruit, a caramelized quality that gives it a broad flavor profile.
Golden Peony is a small variety of tea. Although it is not as famous as Dahongpao, it has also won the hearts of many tea lovers!
