Osmanthus Old Tea King is a finely crafted Taiwanese oolong that has been carefully matured over many years. Selected from high-quality, traditionally processed oolong leaves, this tea is repeatedly roasted and rested to develop a deep, rounded character. During the aging process, it naturally absorbs a warm, gentle sweetness reminiscent of osmanthus blossoms, giving the tea its signature fragrance without the need for added flavoring.
The liquor is smooth, rich, and soothing, with layers of roasted notes, ripe fruit sweetness, and a lingering floral aftertaste. Its complexity and balance make it a favorite among experienced tea drinkers who appreciate aged oolongs with both depth and elegance.
This tea is best enjoyed slowly, allowing each infusion to reveal its aged aroma and mellow charm.
Brewing Guide: We highly recommend brewing Dong Ding Oolong gongfu style to appreciate its many layers of flavor. Dong Ding oolong may be prepared in a regular teapot, an Yixing clay pot, or in individual cups. Use about 1 tsp. per cup (8 oz.) of water heated to 80-90°C (176-194°F). Infuse for 2-3 minutes and pour off. The leaves may be resteeped 1-3 times.
To Enjoy: Place one teaspoon per cup into an infuser, filter or teapot. Switch the kettle off, before it boils, when you hear the water rumbling. Add the hot, but not boiling, water and infuse for 3 minutes. Serve immediately or remove leaves to prevent spoiling.
