Product Overview

Ingredients: Dried apricots, apricot peels, hawthorns, goji berries, dried tangerine peels, red dates, sour fruits and rock sugar.
Description: Apricot skin tea is a special drink in Dunhuang city. The city of Dunhuang, in northwest China, is situated at a crossroads of two major trade routes within the Silk Road network. Lying in an oasis at the edge of the Taklamakan Desert, Dunhuang was one of the first trading cities encountered by merchants arriving in China from the west. It was also an ancient site of Buddhist religious activity and was a popular destination for pilgrims.

This is a traditional tisane of the Hui and Dong Xiang people (descendants of the Mongols who converted to Islam in the 13th century) of the Silk Road. The tea is sweet, floral, and have the flavor of apricots.

It has health benefits such as clearing the larynx, nourishing the Yin aspects of the body, moistening the lungs, quenching thirst, nourishing the blood and energy, decreasing the body's heat, nourishing the kidneys, invigorating the mind, brightening the eyes and if drank regularly can also ensure longevity and an ever-youthful appearance, promotes digestion, relieves fatigue and helps to remedy heat stroke.

Each order includes 60g x 8 packs.

Brewing Guide:

You’ll need a big carafe or pot for this to steep in. It’s easier to make a large carafe of tea rather than making a single cup, just because there are so many ingredients. But if you would only like a single cup, make sure it’s a big cup.

Combine your desired amount of ingredients to the carafe. As the ingredients steep, the flavor of the tea will become more and more flavorful. The goji berries and the dates have really opened up by then.

Use one pack per tea cup servings. Steep it in hot water at 90°c (194°F) to 95°c (203°F) for 10 to 15 minutes. Stir lightly. Serves well hot or cold.
