Product Overview
Wild Dried Hazel Mushroom (Armillaria mellea), also known as Hazel Mushroom or “Mountain Treasure Mushroom,” is one of the most renowned edible fungi from Northeast China. It is prized for its thick, meaty texture, rich aroma, and high nutritional value. Hazel mushrooms are naturally abundant in protein, essential amino acids, dietary fiber, and minerals such as potassium, calcium, iron, and zinc, making them a wholesome and flavorful choice for daily cooking.
These mushrooms grow deep in the pristine forests of Changbai Mountain, often attached to the roots of hazel, birch, and other hardwood trees. The region’s unique environment—with its high altitude, clean air, large day-night temperature differences, and abundant rainfall—creates ideal conditions for producing mushrooms of exceptional taste and nutrition. After harvesting, the fresh mushrooms are traditionally sun-dried, a natural process that not only ensures long storage life and easy transportation but also preserves their original nutrients and distinct mountain flavor. Once rehydrated, the mushrooms regain their firm texture, release a clear golden broth, and deliver a lingering umami taste.
