Product Overview
The first flush is defined as the very first plucking of a tea plant's harvest season - this is a single-origin tea from the Yunnan region of China. This Green Tea from Simao, the home of Pu'er Tea, grows 1,000 to 1,500 meters above mean sea level. This green tea is from Yunnan's "large leaf" varietal tea tree.
Unlike other green teas, it is not rolled and the leaves and buds stay largely unbroken. The buds and the first leaves are covered with classic white tea fluff. Very rich in antioxidants! The leaves have been dried into extremely thin strands that slowly unravel and expand as they are infused.
Once steeped, the highly aromatic leaf produces a lovely brilliant jade color liquor. This is the highest grade Yunnan Mao Feng available! It is green and vegetal, with notes of green chestnut and fresh flowers. The flavor is nutty but if not over-brewed is smooth and satisfying. Very tender and tippy with vibrant umami and sweetness that will soothe and stimulate!
Brewing Guide: Put 1 teaspoon of silver strands tea into 200 ml of hot water ( 175_ / 80_ ), cover and leave for 1-3 minutes.
