Product Overview
Jasmine Green Tea Monkey King is a premium variety of jasmine-scented green tea, associated with high-quality tea craftsmanship. This tea is produced by scenting green tea leaves with jasmine flowers, imparting a sweet, floral fragrance that complements the vegetal, slightly grassy taste of the green tea.
The "Monkey King" title suggests a higher grade of tea, as this term is often used to denote carefully handpicked leaves from tea plants growing in Fuzhou, Fujian. This region is renowned for producing the finest jasmine teas. The local climate and rich soil provide ideal growing conditions for both the jasmine flowers and tea plants. This supreme blend is made entirely from early plucks of spring tea leaves. Not flavored but gently scented with dried jasmine flowers and buds. For the highest quality, fresh jasmine flowers are layered with the tea leaves eight times, allowing the tea to absorb the floral aroma naturally.
The leaves are long, thin, and curly, creating a unique visual appeal, while the jasmine scent offers a calming and refreshing experience. This blend of Jasmine flowers and spring green tea symbolizes royal sophistication and elegance.
When brewed, Monkey King jasmine tea results in a lovely golden-yellow liquor. The result is a light and refreshing brew that perfectly balances the earthy notes of green tea with the floral elegance of jasmine. Sweet and highly fragrant Jasmine and the deep scent of fresh green tea with a mild and savory scent and flavor make this blend one of our favorite choices—a well-balanced classic.
Brewing Guide: Since jasmine tea is delicate, it is more sensitive to water temperatures and you should not brew using boiling water as you would a regular green tea. Instead, aim to heat your water between 160 and 180 F.
Jasmine-scented tea should steep for 2 to 4 minutes depending on desired strength. We recommend steeping 1 rounded tsp for 2 minutes initially and testing the flavor every 30 seconds to suit your taste preferences. If you find that your jasmine tea is too bitter, try using fewer leaves or brewing for a shorter amount of time.
