Product Overview
The Puer King Tea is composed entirely of pure white buds that were hand-harvested from wild ancient tea plants grown in Lincang Prefecture near China’s border with Myanmar. It was harvested in the Spring of 2010 and was processed at a small facility in this rather remote area of Yunnan.
Puer King tea is made from the sweetest, newest buds and tips plucked from the top of the ancient trees, and it is only harvested in the spring.
Its appearance is uniform and the tea color is bright reddish-brown. A very low tannin tea, without astringency and smooth taste, making it a drink suitable for people with delicate stomachs. It is obtained through a long-time macrobiotic fermentation system that gives us a particularly wooded aroma and a very attractive, totally natural character.
This whole-bud shou pu-erh selection is aromatic and robust, with a hearty kick. Pronounced earthy and toasty notes are present in the dark, rich cup, along with hints of molasses. Its smooth character lingers long into the finish.
