Product Overview
Chun Lan is a Chinese oolong tea from the Wu Yi mountain region in the Fujian province in China. Literally the name Chun Lan means "orchid of the spring season". It is one of the rare Wu Yi Rock teas. The Wuyi Mountains of China's Fujian Province are a natural treasure chest. The area is full of treasured flora and fauna. The mountain formations and their remote location also mean the area remains relatively free from pollutants. It is also home to some truly precious teas.
In making this tea, long stylish leaves are twisted sideways and then pan-fired to stop oxidation. The leaves are baked in the final stages of processing. Tea leaves of Chun Lan have a glossy intense greenish to brown color. The tender and strong leaves are tightly twisted into a slightly curled strip and have a pleasant floral fragrance, brewing a tea with a lasting aftertaste.
This tea has an incredibly sweet and orchid flavor with the famous Wuyi Mountain "rock rhyme" or mineral flavor profile. With a powerful, sweet returning aftertaste, it’s creamy and full in the mouth and is a world-class tea drinking experience. Floral, sweet and with a unique toasty and fruity flavor, this oolong tea is full of richness that may benefit your health on a daily basis.
Brewing Guide: Place 1 teaspoon of loose leaf tea in a gaiwan or teacup. Heat water to between 95 and 205 degrees Fahrenheit and pour into the gaiwan. Steep for 1 minute. When steeping is done, strain the tea and enjoy!
