Product Overview
Golden Longjing is a new variety of light-sensitive, yellow variant green tea. It is a light-sensitive yellow variation variety, the whole leaf is golden yellow in the sun, but the leaves are green in the shade. The amino acid content of golden bud tea is as high as 9%, and the amino acid content of ordinary green tea is 3~4%, which is very worth trying. This tea also contains the highest concentration of catechins (antioxidants) among Chinese green teas.
Like many Chinese green teas, Golden Dragon Well is hand-harvested in the Spring where only the youngest, tender buds are selected. As this is a Green Tea, the leaves undergo no oxidization, and they are instead quickly pan-fried to preserve the tea's character and dry the leaves. This process yields a yellow-green, fragrant tea that has a distinctive flat shape. It has a one-of-a-kind, distinguished appearance. It has a flat, large leaf shape, tea lovers will recognize it instantly upon sight.
When the leaves are brewed at 80C, the infusion achieves a distinctive yellow hue with a light, fresh flavor. Its liquor is a lovely golden hue and has a pure clean aroma and a delicate fragrance. Freshly harvested in mid-April, this tea holds a bold nutty flavour and aroma that leaves you with a mild sweet taste. This rare green tea has a complex aromatic bouquet of vegetal, mineral and roasted chestnut notes.
