Product Overview
Liu Bao is a fermented black tea traditionally from Guangxi Province. It is fermented and dried in a long delicate process in preparation for further aging. The loose tea leaves are then packed into large sacks of up to forty kilos and shipped out for consumption. Liu Bao is true black tea, more similar to fermented pu-erh tea than black tea.
The most important health benefit of Liu Bao tea is that it aids digestion. Liu Bao contains vitamin B3, which allows for easier conversion of carbohydrates into glucose. It lowers blood pressure, and cholesterol and helps to relieve fatigue. Liu Bao tea also has both warming and cooling properties.
This white tea sampler consists of 8 samples of 8 different teas (total 10 pouches). Each pouch contains 6 grams of tea that easily lasts for 3-4 steeps in a Yixing teapot or Chinese gaiwan.

They have gone through years of natural post-fermentation, yielding a rich Liu Bao's aged, glutinous rice aroma. The tea brew is rich, bright and deep red in color, smooth and mellow.
Brewing guide: heat water to 100°C or 210°F, use one pouch of tea, put the leaves in a brewing vessel (gaiwan or teapot), infuse the tea leaves, and separate the water from the leaves once the infusion is done.
