Product Overview

We use spring-harvested green tea from Fujian for the base tea. The buds are handpicked, then withered and dried. The finished tea is then stored to await the blossoming of late summer jasmine. Our Jasmine Xue Ya is naturally scented with fragrant jasmine blossoms in the Guangxi province of China. Beautiful jasmine flowers bloom in the obscurity of the night, entrusting their secluded fragrance to the delicate Xue Ya - “White Downy"- green tea leaves, for 7 consecutive times, before being separated forever.

Jasmine Xue Ya’s flavors fully envelop the senses when this tea is steeped in hot water, taste and see the different nuances in taste and aroma of multiple steepings. This precious tea never disperses this aroma, preserving it until the first brews, when it is released into the air, conquering the hearts of everyone who tastes it.

The Jasmine Xue Ya makes a golden brown liquor, offering a mild floral scent, and a refreshing taste with sweet undertones while providing a smooth and fresh aftertaste. The shining liquor has a clear transparency, and the dark green steeped leaves continue to release the fragrance of past flowers, even after several brews. With a jasmine aroma and vegetal flavors such as squash blossom and the mild bitterness of endive. Smooth and refreshing but without the cloying, perfumed nature of artificially flavored jasmines. This is a well-balanced and easily enjoyed green tea.

Brewing Guide: The water used to steep this tea should be about 160-180°F or 70-80°C. Use about 2 teaspoons (3 g) of tea leaves for about every 5 ounces (150 mL) of water. A steeping time of about 3-5 minutes with more or less time is recommended depending on the desired concentration. As a rough guide, the hotter the water or the greater the amount of leaves used, the shorter the steeping time should be. A covered glass or ceramic cup is recommended for steeping to appreciate the tea leaves.
