Product Overview
Konacha literally means powdered tea. This is a blend of leaves and stalks coming out of the process of producing Gyokuro (the highest-quality green tea). Konacha itself is made up of the smallest, broken bits of tea leaves (not quite a powder) left over after processing. Because of the small size, it steeps very quickly. You can brew this tea quickly because its leaves are very thin.
Powdered tea usually has a bitter and astringent taste but this tea doesn’t taste bitter at all. You can enjoy Gyokuro’s delicious taste. Besides the amazingly savory umami flavor characteristic of gyokuro, Gyokuro Konacha is also extremely versatile releasing savory umami flavor in a much wider range of flavors than gyokuro tea itself.
Brewing Guide: Konacha specks are more easily brewed for a shorter time than regular Gyokuro tea leaves. The brewing time is half of regular Gyokuro tea leaves. The other brewing matters, tea leaves and water amount and water temperature are the same as regular Gyokuro.
