Product Overview

This Nonpareil Grade Keemun Maofeng represents the high quality within the world-renowned Keemun black tea portfolio. Sourced exclusively from the core growing regions along the 30°N latitude in Qimen County, Anhui—an area perpetually shrouded in mountain mist and rich in mineral soil—this tea is crafted from selected tender leaves. Beyond traditional processing, this exceptional tea undergoes a masterfully executed High-fire Roasting technique. This art of precise heat management acts as the soul of the tea, triggering a perfect caramelization of natural sugars while preserving the delicate freshness of early-spring leaves.

The dry tea leaves are tightly knotted, needle-like, and jet-black with a glossy sheen. Even before brewing, a profound "Keemun Aroma", a complex fusion of intense caramel, ripe fruit, and subtle honey notes, bursts forth, signaling unparalleled depth and luxury.

The high-fire roasting imparts a robust structural integrity and immense tension to the flavor profile, achieving a perfect balance of thick yet mellow, fresh yet sweet. Upon the first sip, a creamy, liquor-like viscosity instantly coats the palate. The initial elegant orchid aroma transforms under the intense heat into a profound, warm woody honey note that lingers through numerous steepings. The liquor shines with a brilliant, ruby-red clarity, adorned with the iconic golden ring around the cup rim—a definitive mark of premium quality. Following the swallow, a powerful, refreshing sweetness erupts from the throat, leaving a persistent aroma in the mouth.

Brewing Guide: Utilizing a white porcelain gaiwan is advised to highlight the brilliant liquor color. Use approximately 5 grams of tea leaves. To complement its high-fire nature, utilize a high water temperature of 92°C-95°C (197°F-203°F) for the first infusion to "activate the aroma," instantly awakening the dormant caramelized honey notes and deep inner compounds. For subsequent infusions, slightly reduce the temperature to 90°C (194°F) and employ a "fixed-point swirling" pour to gently encourage the leaves to unfurl. Each infusion requires only 8-12 seconds; pour the tea once the liquor reaches a brilliant, amber-like red.
