Product Overview
Produced in Lingyun County of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region the silver-gray tea is characterized by its sturdy appearance with white fuzz, strong and lasting fragrance, clear jade-green liquid, and green brewed leaves. This tea is predominantly tips and has a lovely covering of fine, downy hairs that you will see in your cup or glass! The dry leaf smells sweet and malty.
The character of this tea is quite close to white tea. This tea is suitable for white tea lovers, yet wishing for a tea with a slightly stronger flavor. On the first brew, this tea gives a strong flowery flavor and the aroma of the leaves evokes sweet corn and a slight grassiness. From the second brewing, it also gives a hint of nutty flavor like a chickpea. It gives a comfortable lingering aftertaste that lasts for a long time.
This tea has a light green bean-like character and chlorophyll, much like you'd expect from a Longjing, caramel and malt notes dominate in the liquor. There is pronounced sweetness and huigan here. The umami from this tea is seriously intense, so if you enjoy umami from your greens, this is a great tea to try!
Brewing Guide: We recommend using glass-based or porcelain tea ware. Rinse tea cup and teapot with hot water. Use about 2 grams of tea leaves (1 teaspoon) for every 400 ml of water. Steep tea leaves in hot water 80°c (176°F) for 1 minute for the first and second brewing. Gradually increase steeping time and temperature for subsequent brewing.
