Product Overview

This tea is crafted with premium Dong Ding Oolong from Lugu, Nantou, one of Taiwan’s most celebrated tea regions. The area’s misty mid-elevation climate, cool temperatures, and large day-night temperature differences allow the tea plants to develop thick, flavorful leaves rich in aromatic compounds. Through partial oxidation and a light roasting process, Dong Ding Oolong achieves a perfect balance of floral and roasted notes. Unlike many common osmanthus oolong teas that rely on inexpensive base teas, this blend is built on high-quality Dong Ding Oolong, giving the infusion depth, body, and a lingering sweetness.

The defining feature of this tea is its repeated scenting with fresh organic osmanthus blossoms. During the osmanthus blooming season, freshly picked flowers are layered with semi-finished oolong leaves and left to rest, allowing the tea to absorb the natural honey-like fragrance. Once the blossoms lose their aroma, they are replaced with a fresh batch, and the process is repeated multiple times. This artisanal method is time-consuming and labor-intensive, but it ensures that the floral sweetness penetrates deeply into the leaves. In contrast, many commercial osmanthus oolong teas are scented only once, or worse, rely on artificial flavorings. By using the traditional multi-round scenting process, this tea achieves a naturally pure, elegant, and lasting fragrance.

No artificial flavoring or additives are used at any stage. The result is a tea that captures the natural harmony of osmanthus and oolong—smooth, sweet, and refined. Unlike lower-quality blends that may smell sharp or artificial, this tea unfolds gently with a long-lasting fragrance and a rounded mouthfeel.

When brewed, the liquor is a bright golden yellow, clear and luminous. The first aroma is the sweet, delicate fragrance of osmanthus, reminiscent of honey and ripe apricot. On the palate, the floral sweetness emerges first, followed by the mellow body and subtle roasted undertones of Dong Ding Oolong. The texture is silky and full, with layers of flavor that evolve over successive infusions. The finish is clean and naturally sweet, leaving a refreshing aftertaste.

Taiwan Osmanthus Oolong represents the finest expression of this classic combination. With a foundation of premium Dong Ding Oolong, carefully scented multiple times with organic osmanthus blossoms and absolutely no additives, it stands apart from ordinary osmanthus oolong teas. The result is a graceful balance of depth and fragrance, offering both elegance and richness in every cup.

Brewing Guide:

Hot Brewing Method
Use 5 grams of tea with 150 ml of water at 90–95°C (194–203°F). Steep for 1–2 minutes on the first infusion, then gradually extend the time with each subsequent brew. This tea can be steeped 6–8 times, with the early infusions highlighting osmanthus fragrance and later brews revealing the depth of the oolong base. For the most refined experience, use a small teapot or gaiwan to appreciate the unfolding aroma and taste.

Cold Brewing Method
Use 8–10 grams of tea per 1 liter of room-temperature water. Place in a glass pitcher or cold brew bottle and refrigerate for 6–8 hours before serving. Cold brewing brings out the tea’s elegant osmanthus fragrance in a softer, more refreshing way, with a naturally sweet and smooth flavor and almost no bitterness. The taste is light yet lingering, with honeyed floral notes and subtle fruitiness, making it an ideal drink for hot weather or after exercise.
