Product Overview

Fennel Seeds come from a flowering plant called Fennel (Foeniculum Vulgare), which is native to the Mediterranean region but can be found in many areas of the world today. Fennel seed is a remarkably versatile herb with an ancient history that today holds its own with herbal medicine practitioners. The fennel seeds themselves are a rich source of many nutrients, including fiber, protein, magnesium, iron, and B vitamins. Fennel is used in many different cuisines, from Indian to Italian, to contemporary fusion, and all parts of the plant are used, including the leaves, seeds, and bulb.

People have used fennel as a nutritional and health aid throughout history. It has various qualities that may benefit human health:

Helps relieve bloating, gas, indigestion, and mild acid reflux. Ideal for post-meal use as a natural digestive aid.

Eases Menstrual Discomfort. Traditionally used to soothe cramps and abdominal pain during menstruation. Contains gentle plant-based compounds with mild estrogen-like effects.

Soothes the Respiratory System. May help ease mild coughs and throat discomfort. Has light expectorant and antibacterial properties.

Relieves Stress and Aids Sleep. The calming aroma helps reduce tension and promote restful sleep.

Supports Appetite Control and Metabolism. Often used to help manage appetite and support natural metabolic balance.

This tea is specially pan-roasted and gently flattened, giving it a warm and mild character. Fennel Seeds are light golden to brown with a flat, rounded shape and a rich, aromatic scent. They have a distinctive, aromatic, sweet, anise-like, and liquorice-like flavour with a herbal background. Refreshing and smooth on the palate.

Ingredients: 100% organic fennel seeds (Foeniculum vulgare), free from pesticides, additives, or preservatives. Grown naturally and sustainably.

Brewing Guide: Fennel seed tea is best enjoyed 1–2 times a day, particularly after meals or before bedtime. To prepare fennel seed tea, use 1–2 teaspoons (approximately 2 grams) of fennel seeds. Steep them in water heated to 95–100°C (203–212°F) for 5–10 minutes, depending on your preferred strength. Cover the tea while steeping to retain the essential oils. You can crush the seeds before steeping for a more potent flavor and aroma. Use a tea infuser or strain the tea before drinking, and feel free to reheat if needed. For added flavor, consider adding a slice of lemon or blending with chamomile or mint.
