Product Overview
Delicate Spring tea leaves from a plantation located at Tengchong. Tengchong, one of the necessary routes to Burma, India and Thailand, is a small but beautiful border county in western Yunnan. Tengchong is a place with diverse landscapes towering volcanoes, beautiful wetlands, virgin forests and idyllic rural villages, etc.. The unique and rich geothermal resources make it famous all over the world.
This is the earliest plucking green tea from south Yunnan. The altitude of the tea garden is around 2500m. The tea trees now are old bush aging almost 60 years old. It is the ideal tea garden for good quality teas. Unlike most of the other Chinese provinces, the climate of Yunnan is mostly influenced by the Indian Ocean. So each year between October and the end of April, before the humid air from the Indian Ocean arrives in Yunnan, the weather is very sunny and dry. The tea here germinates at the beginning of March. Under this condition, the new germination has the richest quality contents.
It is made from the Yunnan Broad Leaf variety, which gives it its distinctive aroma and taste. The tea is processed by steaming, rolling and drying twice. Yunnan Green has a more complex, challenging flavor than most Chinese green teas. The green tea has a strong robust mellow taste, without any astringency, and produces a very deep sweet aftertaste! Sit back and allow the subtly sweet, grassy green liquor to gently refresh and revive you.
